Combined Ensiling of Tropical Beans and Sugarcane Stalks: Effects on Their Secondary Metabolites

چکیده
In this study, the effect of mixed silage on chemical composition, ensilability, in vitro cellulase digestibility and some their plant secondary metabolites (PSM) were assessed. The lab-scale mixes made triplicate from sugarcane (Saccharum spp.) stalk Canavalia ensiformis or Mucuna pruriens beans (Santa Clara, Cuba). Sugarcane stalks at a ratio 40:60 (on DM basis), respectively, combination with mixture microbial inoculants (Lactobacillus acidophilus, two Kluyveromyces fragilis strains, 4 × 105 colony forming units (CFU)/g fresh matter). Before after ensiling, ensilability contents PSM (trypsin inhibitor, L-canavanine, total tannins, L-dopa phytic acid) determined. A complete factorial design to assess ensiling time (30, 60 90 days), legume type (LT) interactions assessed parameters performed. better fermentation quality M. pruriens–sugarcane material [e.g., lower (p < 0.05) pH ammonia N content higher concentration lactic acid] was observed as compared C. ensiformis–sugarcane material. process reduced 0.001) studied PSM, being silages than [trypsin inhibitor (86 vs. 76%); L-canavanine (70 53%); tannins (54 50%); L-Dopa (89 86%)], except for acid (65 68%), respectively]. It concluded that enhances feeds by predigestive reduction amount metabolites.

A set of genes related to secondary metabolism was extracted from the sugarcane expressed sequence tag (SUCEST) database and was used to investigate both the gene expression pattern of key enzymes regulating the main biosynthetic secondary metabolism pathways and the major classes of metabolites involved in the response of sugarcane to environmental and developmental cues. The SUCEST database w...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

15 صفحه اولBiochemistry of plant secondary metabolites and their effects in animals.
Plant secondary metabolites, which include a wide variety of phytochemicals, have always been constituents of the diets of man and other animals. Although a high proportion of these phytochemicals have been considered to be of little value in plants (although this view is changing), they have frequently been shown to have adverse effects on animals when ingested. The effects depend to a great e...
